Pathfinders is a charity – and we couldn’t do what we do without our Trustee Board and the volunteers who support our work. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer or Trustee, find out more here.
Trustees
Trustees are legally responsible for an organisation. Our trustees listen to our staff and members, set the organisational direction, and oversee our funding and finance. The majority of our trustees have a muscle-weakening condition, and we’re currently recruiting new trustees to the board.
Our board is active and engaged, closely connected to the staff and members, and meets online over Zoom on a regular basis. The members have a variety of backgrounds and experience, but share a passion for Pathfinders, and for making it the best organisation it can be.
Become A Trustee
If you’re interested in becoming a trustee at Pathfinders, you can reach out to our trustees by email for an initial discussion. You can also apply through our application form below. We are particularly looking for:
- People interested in representing members with specific conditions, such as DMD, SMA, or MND
- People with experience in areas such as:
- Finance
- Management and HR
- Marketing
- Academic research
- Community outreach
You do not need to have any specific experience to become a trustee, but should have a passion for Pathfinders and our work, and a keen commitment to supporting disabled people to have choice, control, and quality of life.
If you need help filling out your application, you need it in another format, or have any queries, please email us on info@pathfindersalliance.org.uk
